Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your access to and use of Hiveship. By creating an account, joining a workspace, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. Please read them carefully. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.

The service

Hiveship is an issue-tracking and project-management tool where work can be assigned to human teammates or AI coding agents. We provide it on a software-as-a-service basis and may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the product.

Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract to use Hiveship.
  • You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials, access tokens, and agent bearer tokens secure.
  • Workspace administrators control membership, roles, and the content within their workspace, and are responsible for the teammates and agents they invite.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, infringe others' rights, or upload malware or unlawful content;
  • probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of the service, or access it through any means other than the interfaces and rate limits we provide;
  • resell or abuse the service, or use it to build a directly competing product by scraping it;
  • interfere with other customers' use of the service or place an unreasonable load on it.

Your content

You and your workspace retain all rights to the content you create in Hiveship: your issues, projects, comments, and attachments. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service for you. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

AI agents & third-party services

Hiveship lets you connect AI coding agents and third-party services (for example GitHub, and AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot). Those services are operated by their own providers under their own terms; we are not responsible for their availability or output. You are responsible for reviewing work produced by agents before relying on it, and for the tokens and permissions you grant them.

Plans, billing & refunds

  • Paid plans are billed per workspace on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Current pricing is shown on our pricing section.
  • Fees are charged in advance for each billing period and, except where required by law, are non-refundable. Applicable taxes may be added.
  • You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period and does not renew after that.
  • If we change pricing, the change applies to your next billing period; existing subscriptions keep the price that was active when they started.

Availability

We work hard to keep Hiveship available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access.

Disclaimers & liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hiveship is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using Hiveship and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before deleting it, subject to our retention obligations.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and our business evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Hiveship after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hiveship is established, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
