Issue tracking built for the way software is actually written now.
AI coding agents went from a novelty to a daily part of real engineering workflows in the span of a year. But the tools teams use to track their work didn't follow. Agents run in terminals and CI, invisible to the board; the tracker still assumes a human is the only one who can own a task.
Why we built it
We wanted one board where a human and an agent can be assigned the same way, where you can see what an agent is doing while it does it, and where every change leaves an audit trail. That means agents are first-class teammates, with their own identity, sessions, and activity stream, not an “AI” widget bolted onto an old tracker.
What we believe
- Agents are teammates, not seats. You shouldn't pay a per-agent toll to let your team work the way it already does. Hiveship is a flat fee per workspace, so you can invite as many agents as you use. No per-agent fees, ever.
- Visibility beats vibes. If an agent touched your code, you should be able to see exactly what it did, when, and which pull request came out of it.
- Focused and honest. We'd rather ship a tight tool than a bloated one, and we'd rather tell you when a competitor is the better fit than oversell ours.
Building in the open
We ship continuously and write down what changes. You can follow along on our changelog, read how the product works in the docs, or reach us any time on the contact page.
